World through a teenager’s eyes

Not many people re-unite with a friend after 10 years of not being in contact. Not many bond immediately on talking to each other after such a long time. Not many can share so much. And not many decide to just write down a book in their 17s. But they did. Aditi and Misha did.

They were two souls apart. An extrovert to an introvert, a brainy to a creative mind but there was something in them which kept them close. Something that got them together after years of distance living in the same city; it was more than just coincidence. It was destiny. Thanks to the social networking and the umpteen mutual friends that we are constantly updated about just everything going on is someone’s life. We have our own bunch of problems to worry about and the fun we can’t share it out loud with everyone. And as a teenager, life isn’t easy at any step. Those nine precious years of your life become memorable because this is the phase you shall miss. When you have had all those crazy nights crying over a break-up, complaining about your family problems, pouring your heart out (thanks to alcohol), bitching the hell out about all those chicks who promised they’ll stay by you and then stabbed you in the back.

While on the contrary there have been those days where nothing could get better, when all you needed was love and support, when you’re hard work paid off and basically you had it all. The fact is, whenever you lose something that truly belonged to you, it has its own way of coming back at the perfect timing. As they say it, when you lose all hope.. Life surprises you. And so was this experience. Misha changed her school at a very young age and since then; both of them lost contact and how did they meet again? Thanks to Facebook, some mutual friends and vividly common interests. It was implausible why they chose to meet after such a long time, but they did. And so it goes..

It was a beastly weather when Misha chose to meet the girl who she thought was her soul-sister back in 3rd grade. The winds and the dusty weather interrupted her view across the road where someone had been waiting. They met for a casual meet over a cup of coffee and decided to glance over the new book fair in town. Aditi was completely surprised just to see that Misha still had similar instances though inside, a completely different person. As they headed towards the venue, small talks began after awkward silence. Before they knew it, they were so engrossed in the conversation; they almost forgot the address.
